Website optimisation, design & development

Improve the website you have, or build the website you need.

If your website isn't doing its job, I'll find out why and choose the right response: improve it, build lean or lead the whole project.

Illustrative desktop and mobile website, showing a responsive layout and clear enquiry actions. This is not a client project.
James explains why the right website project starts with a diagnosis.

First, find out what needs fixing.

I lead every website project myself, from the first diagnosis to the final line of copy. I've spent more than ten years working across agency, in-house and independent marketing.

My independent audit of 28 Jersey financial-services websites was covered by Channel Eye.

Make your business clearer, more credible and easier to choose.

An effective website is shaped by dozens of connected decisions. I look at how they work together, decide which changes matter most and shape the project around them.

What to expect from a Clarity Digital website project

“In six years of working with marketers, I’ve never worked with someone who operates at James’s level. He just gets it - strategy, clarity, and what actually drives results.”

Common questions.

How much does a business website cost in Jersey?

Clarity Digital website improvements cost £1,500–£4,000. A rebuild with your own team costs £4,000–£8,000. A full website project, including design and development, starts at £8,000. We’ll agree the scope and price before work begins.

How long does a website project take?

Website improvements typically take around 30 days. New builds depend on the size of the site and who’s involved, with a schedule agreed upfront. The Clarity Digital Portal keeps work, feedback and approvals together, helping everyone make decisions and keep things moving.

Is website copywriting included?

Yes. I write the copy for the pages we agree to tackle, making your business clearer, more credible and easier to choose. You bring the knowledge of your business; I turn it into words your customers understand.

Which website platforms do you work with?

I’ve worked with WordPress, Umbraco, Squarespace and fully custom-coded websites. I also use development tools such as Claude Code where they help. The recommendation starts with what your business needs and what your team can comfortably manage.

Can you work with our internal team or current agency?

Yes. I can work alongside your team or agency, providing the website structure, copy and creative direction they need to build. We agree responsibilities upfront, and I stay involved through delivery.

Work out what your website needs next.
